Sony's Playstation 3 release will be postponed until November, due to problems with the new Blu-ray disc drive. Fortunately, Sony has guaranteed that the PS3 will play PS1 and PS2 games at higher resolutions. The unit will also ship with a 60 GB hard drive. So, all in all, I don't mind the wait.

It technically isn't a postpone-ment considering there wasn't an actual date other than some-time this spring, but hell not only does this give them time to perfect blue-ray it gives developers time to perfect the launch titles.

Isn't this thing going to cost upwards of 600 dollars anyway? For that price, it better do my laundry, cook me meals and have sex with me.
Wait a minute, I'm just going to buy a Russian Bride with that money. Smoother polygons too.

Russian gal with smoother polygons? ha. Some of those girls have more triangles than the postitutes on San Andreas.
But yeah, 500 for 20 gig version and 600 for 60 gig version. Plus, not too many spectacular games have been announced other than MGS:4. PS3 needs a Halo hyped game to sell big.
Not to mention, it's still going to have a single-core processor like the 360, so expect another upgrade within a few years.
