Anyone played it? It sounds cool but I haven't seen it yet. Also, when is the PS3 supposed to come out?

Ahh Fable, yea I bought it the day of release. It's actually really good. Everything you do has an effect on you and the people around you. You can marry a beatiful woman, or even a man if you'd like. You can donate to the church to gain good points or sacrifice humans to an eveil god. The combat if fun and very well done. You can play the game using whichever fighting style you like, Magic, Ranged, Melee, or any combination, or hell all three for that matter. The M rating was a bit much though. The only time where there is alot of blood is when you put an arrow in someones head, for it decapitates them and you have a 30 second gore fest as blood sprays out of the empty hole (Much like in Kill Bill vol. 1) (Vol. 2 was horse shit by the way.) PS3 doesn't have a set release date, but shouldn't be too long.

Fable. Bah. The big detraction i heard from it was that the gameplay was very linear, as in, go to place A, go to place B, etc. None of the exploration that RPG's usually have.
As far as PS3, there will most likely be short demos running at this years E3. After that, it will be about another year until it is finally released. So probably Christmas 2005, if they can get everything all figured out by then.

And as to the linear gameplay it isn't as linear as people make it sound, but then again it isn't very deep, but trust me when I tell you that the combat and overall story of the game will keep you caught up to the poijt you won't even notice. The game was well done and is deserving of atleast a rental. On the downside the game is extremely short. I played through the game as a good character in less then 15 hours, but with all the ways you can play you'll get wo or three play throughs on it. another thing I noticed when I had the game was that at first running feels really off. It doesn't feel quite right, but as you go it begins to feel more normal. Not sure if it's just that you get used to it or that it actually changes though.
