I'm always a little weary about new Star Wars games, since they tend not to deliver the way the older ones did (Dark Forces, X-wing Alliance), but this game looks very promising. You play as "Boss," and Clone Commando sent to lead three other Commandos against the galaxies worst (battle droids, Geonosians, Trandoshans, and some new enemies from Ep III). Based on the Unreal II engine, the graphics have had a major overhaul and look quite impressive. The game features a one-touch squad command that can set them up as snipers, scouts, demolitionists, etc. Plus anything they can do, you can do = plenty of replayability. And there's a multiplayer which x-box fans say might push Halo 2 out for a while.
The niftiest feature though, is the Revive which is simply, as long as one Commando is alive, you haven't lost. When a Commando, or you, go down, you become incapacitated. The other Commandos can continue their orders or aid you.
Maybe not as awe-inspiring as Half-Life 2 or as intense as Far Cry, Republic Commando will definitely be a fun lead-in to Episode III (May 19). Check out the pc demo at lucasarts.com or the x-box demo (supposedly) on the second disk of KOTOR II. The game will be out March 1.

Ive played the x-box demo. Its on the kotor 2 disc. I enjoyed it, but there was one major problem that they must fix. I mean every game that Ive played with this problem has failed miserably. The controlling in waaaay to sensitive. I would barely tap the stick and it would shoot to the top of the screen. It is very graphically impressive and all, but the controller issues need to be fixed.

That's weird. For this game, and Chron. of Riddick, I had to push the mouse sensitivity all the way up and it still isn't quite where I want it. I guess they were too lazy to rewrite controller coding. Oh well.

As an update to this, it's a great game. A little too short though.
The multiplayer makes up for it. I can actually lose hours playing multiplayer. Thanks go out to TAW clan for hosting the best servers. If you haven't already, check it out. It's definitely worth buying. I found it at Target for $35 first day, it's $39.99 just about anywhere else.

Sadly I don't have the money now having to pay for prom and saving for my truck, but when I get some side cash that definately is on the top of my list.

It's weird, I keep seeing this guy Trogdor8686 on RC multiplayer, and it reminds me of Heath's AOL screenname.

I wonder, in the final mission of this game, do you have to kill...Jedi?

No, but midway through the game, your character runs across a lightsaber followed by a great quote.
"An elegant weapon for a more civilized time? Yeah, well times have changed."
