Yes the "great mistake" Holiday Special aired by CBS in 1978. What a mess.

George Lucas even tried to buy all copies of this a prevent its release, he unfortunately failed.

Though this tv special did introduce an important character...Boba Fett himself, though I think most Star Wars fans would prefer to remember Fett making his grand appearance in TESB.

Oh and as an interesting trivia, a sequel was planned and had a new villian known as Count Dooku, the name was stolen from George Lucas's archives.
