So I watched all three of the originals, read some of my D20 book, and now I want to fly an A-Wing and shoot some stuff.
So, I'm thinking, we should get together soon and run some games. I know Jonathan is unquestionably the best Star Wars DM, but if someone wanted to play some DnD as well I wouldnt mind running something.
I would like, if possible, to have our old 'game a week' days come back. I know its rough with everyone working and all, but with Jonathan and I staying close to home this semester, and you all driving now, I think it could work out.
Let me know opinions and/or dates that work for everyone. So I watched all three of the originals, read some of my D20 book, and now I want to fly an A-Wing and shoot some stuff.

Taylor and I have been waiting for this. We've been trying to find a new group of people to play with, but it just insn't the same. We've both been playing around with our table top stuff and have come up with some pretty unique characters. And for once I've actually made several I'd like to develop and roleplay rather then just have go off and kill everything that moves. Just give me a date and I can most likely show up, just as long as it doesn't interfere with band.

Well, alright, what about we shoot for next saturday? I won't know until tomorrow if I have it off, but I usually do. All we need is a location and a few more people.

Sounds good to me. I'll hafta check and make sure DCI isn't that day, but I don't think it is. As for a place to play, is it comes down to it we could see if they would let us play at Barne's and Noble's over in Rome. Or we could try Legends. Or someone's house. Hell we could even go to the park, but that brings up the problem of wind, bugs, and that wretched ball of flame that roast my skin.

Woohoo! yes Peaches of Glory! Yeah I'd love to play, Hell Yeah! Hey I could even play a tree guy again, man those were the fun days. Cant forget always getting caught on fire. Yall just name a time and place and I'll be there somehow. Man this week is gonna be darn exhausting. Unknowingly I promised I'd help a friend with this Star Trek/Bible VBS. Turns out its on Band Camp, so I'll have to go to Band camp everyday this week from 8-5, then run home get a shower and go play Bible alien from 6-9. Woohoo!

Just finished rebuilding my computer, so this is like the ringing of the Hallelujah chorus. If you still need a person or two I'll do it. When & Where?

Alright, saturday is good for me, or friday. Your choice, but I need to know soon to put band practice on the other day, so far saturday looks the best for out Nerd-a-thon.
My house is always usable, and pretty much everyone knows where it is.
So, lets hear the votes for saturday, my place, around...noonish? All we need now is Jonathan.

Sorry, I've been away from the forums recently. But yes I'd love to. In fact, back in June, A.J. and his church group wanted me to run a campaign. It lasted for a day, but it was cool. I did an on-the-fly Rebel Commandos game, but most of the players didn't know how to be "stealthy", much less A.J. who was once again a trigger-happy cat. But yeah, I'm free just about anytime. This week is especially boring for me since my mom is out of town and I'm stuck at home (unless I wanted to go stop by and say hi to the band nerds). You can call me if you want to 770-722-5916 (new cell).

Ok, so lets get this final, complete, and settled, so I will know not to make plans or anything.
Saturday, at noon, my place, Star Wars.
I obviously will be there, Jake as well, and it sounds like Jonathan is certain too. Taylor and Heath, is that a definate yes or no?

Alright, now all we need is the fat kid and we are good to go. Jonathan, do you have any idea what time period and level you want us in? I know I would like to have a character rolled up, and see what everyone else is thinking of.
I was going to go scoundrel, but thats sort of what I usaully do. The Jedi thing seems over used, nobels get slaughtered, and soldiers are just bland. Which leaves...force adept.
"Whoo, watch out, I have a stick that is imbued with the Force!!!"
*Sound of lightsaber slicing adept in half*

Well, any time period is good unless we want Jedi. I've done a few small-scale Star Wars campaigns for other people, and I've come to an all-or-none Jedi rule. Jedi will dominate if they are there. So to be fair to the non-Jedi classes, I think they should adventure with Jedi. Besides most Jedi only operate with other Jedi anyway.
As for type of campaign. The easiest to come up with would be a commando type game. You'd need a techie, a soldier, plus one other skill-point dependent character to act somwhat as a healer. Lately, I've had some ideas for a Separatist Commando team of droids. I'll vote for the droid game, though I'll leave the final verdict to the players. (Of course, if you wanna fly an A-wing, then we'd need to do a Rebel campaign)
If you wanna role up characters go ahead. Just remember NO HUMANS (pick an alien race please), and know that I do have the species book. If you wanna wait until Sat., it shouldn't take too long to get everyone going, especially with Zack being a fairly good expert at the game system as well.
One last thing; where do you live again?
EDIT: As a new thought, we could try a horror-style Star Wars campaign. I've been watching too many werewolf movies lately.

A horror movie Star Wars would be strange, I would bet. I'm willing to give it a shot, though, I have a feeling if anyone can pull it off, you can.
I might just wait until Saturday to create, although I have had this strong urge to be a pilot of some sort lately. I toyed with the idea of an all Jedi campaign, perhaps in the New Jedi Academy, but I really dont know much about that part of the storyline.
If possible, I would like this to be more than just a one shot thing, since we all have reliable transportation and now live withing a short distance of eachother, I don't see why we couldn't have a weekly get together like in the old days.
