Ok, this sounds alot like Blade, though it has a strange twist on several things. It follows a Dunpeal, or half vampire named D. His father was the king of vampires, or Dracula. In this case, he has many of the powers of vampires, but he also does have the drawback of heat Syndrome. To avoid dying, he must cool himself fully every few days. He also has a parasite in his left hand named, amazingly enough, Left Hand. As he is supernatural, he can see through illusions and can eat things, and helps D out of jams. The newer one is Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, and I'd advise you to see it if you can. Has some very cool characters.
8.5/10

You know, I actually watched this, and I have to say it wasn't half bad. I still don't like anime, but this was pretty well designed. I really liked the atmosphere, creepy, and a little melancholic. The "Left Hand" parasite thing was a little much (I didn't even know it was a parasite). But I'll give an A for originality, and I'll even recommend it to those anime(ically) sheltered like me.

Dude, Jonathan, DO NOT COME TO BERRY.
I repeat.
DO NOT COME TO BERRY.
Back on thread, D was an intersting movie I liked. However, speaking from a lonely guy prospective, a talking hand must be a horrible thing to have. All those lonely, female-less nights, but what do you do about it? Your hand is a freaking parisite!

ROGER THAT!
You don't have to worry about me coming to Berry, it's a nice place to visit, but too big, expensive, and chaotic for me.
Just out of curiosity, why don't you want me at Berry? Do I smell that bad? ;D

No, no, I was warning him not to visit, because of your plan to Clockwork Orange style initiate him into anime.

No need to initiate me Kubrick style into anime. I really don't like it, any of it. Vampire D was the exception.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Vampire D? I rather thought it sucked. the whole time I was watching it I kept thinking "hey who knew animated characters couldn't act" but anywho if you're into vampires Hellsing is the anime to watch.

The acting isn't what really gets me, I think it's a combination of the characters (Mostly the Marcus Brothers and Grove) with what is actually a fairly decent story. Without them, I'd share your sentiment. However, to each his own. Yeah, Hellsing is one I'll be forced to watch within a few weeks

When I say forced, I'm mainly referring to the fact that, often as not, I am literally tied to a chair facing the screen. Yeah...anyway, it's my friends here, including my Girlfriend and her friends
